Don't really know, no one here has really talked about replacing theirs. However the 722.6 was never used a Grand prior to the WJ/G and 02 would be about the first. Not sure if a version was used in the petrol (3.7) Cherokee but they were used behind the 3.0l V6 diesel (300C etc) question is were they changed for that application.

The BCM translates the signal to a digital format to talk to the radio over a communications bus. Without a "translator" between the BCM and the radio, they wont understand each other.

I have a 2005 registered WJ Grand Cherokee Black Pearl Edition 2.7 CRD HO (Photo attached) with what I thought was the Quadra-Drive system. The VIN shows it was manufactured in GRAZ in December 2004 so I just got my build sheet from Jeep out of interest (also attached so you can see i'm not mad). However, a couple of things caught my attention
Probably something was not reconnected. Remaining problem, which we have a problem with already for over a year: around 90-100 km/h (RPM around 2000) the engine is unsteady and there is a big lack of power. The car hardly goes any faster then 120-130 km/h, while before we easy reached higher speeds. I am now trying to find the electrical diagram for this 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD Diesel. Before I take this vehicle back to the dealer if they ever get the WIN module in. I want to be able to go through all the ignition wiring checking my grounds and voltages. My faith in the dealership has faded.

For my 2.7: The part number for the injector is KK05137254AB, cost me R4571 last year each (bought 3), but they may have come down. You can also buy it directly from Bosch (Diesel Electric here in PE), their part number 044511098, their price was R4045 each (bought 2). 8Ej4wIp.
