And even just using skyscale I get confronted with invisible walls that I can't even grab on to constantly. So yeah, saying that invisible walls are bad and therefore GW2>WoW triggers me, because GW2 is literally invisible wall central compared to WoW.
With the Wizard's Tower covering so much airspace, that means a greater focus is placed on the game's Skyscale mount. The Skyscale mount was first released back in Season 4 of The Living World in
@Tekoneiric.6817 said:I was just thinking that they got something backwards with the humming bird skin and skyscale mount. The new mount should have been a humming bird to go with the Melandru jungle area and the skyscale should have been a skin for the griffon that also gave the flame blast attack.
Tl;dr: Skyscale is a GREAT all in 1 mount for 1 mount users. It can do everything, very slowly and is very casual friendly. But if you master the Springer Griffon and Beetle, you can travel at 500 mph anywhere you want with a few seconds of prep at 2-3x the speed!
Canthan Noble Skyscale Mounts Pack. Take flight with the power and beauty of a summer storm. This package includes three dignified new looks for your skyscale mount: the Canthan Noble Skyscale Skin, Hundred Petals Noble Skyscale Skin, and Heavenly Thunder Noble Skyscale Skin.
The Skyscale mount doesn't work well with gliding, as updrafting up and then switching to the Skyscale immediately gives us a full red fly bar, and forces us down incredibly fast. Bond of Vigor shouldn't freeze it's Cooldown the moment we cling to a wall, waiting 1 minute to climb up is already a bit long, but would make it more fun to scale
Exactly that. If Anet doesn't buff the skyscale, just don't bother, especially if you don't have griffon yet. Unlock the griffon first, you won't miss the borrowed skyscale on any character. At that point you can work on that long skyscale collection for vanity/completion sake. I already know that I'm only going to use the skyscale to show off.
Use Springer again to get to the top. Alternative 2 - Glide directly to the top of the spire by the airship on a borrowed Skyscale from the Skyscale Roost on top of the wing, located south and slightly east of the Pact Command. Scale 4. Tucked against the base of a tree on a very high cliff on top of the wing. Scale 5.
Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure offers an updated path to unlocking your skyscale mount. You’ll use the skyscale and new Masteries to explore epic aerial maps. At launch, two new explorable zones will take you to the skies over Tyria; a new map will become available as the story progresses in future releases.
