Their use of the term “Tennessee whiskey” instead of bourbon is a choice, adopted long ago in part because bourbon is so closely associated with Kentucky. Between them, their volume (approximately 90% of which is Daniel’s) is about one-fourth of the bourbon-style whiskey

Old No. 7 is kind of boring and 1 dimensional. The best thing to be said about it is that drinking it will give you a very direct sense of what Brown-Forman's yeasts tend to do with creating esters in a whiskey, in a way that no amount of book learning regarding isoamyl acetate will do. OYWVJC.
